Yamaha Gladiator Vs Bajaj XCD
Yamaha Gladiator Vs Bajaj XCD
They are made from metal which is used to make tanks for war. These bikes are for the commuter who believes in his values. The design of these bikes is done with recent updates. New technological advancements are installed which makes the bike easy to ride. The Gladiator is a good option when it comes to speed and reliability. It is beaten by XCD when it comes to mileage and spares.

The comparison is difficult one as there are certain values present in the bike which make it look one of the best in the entire commuter or 125cc segment. Testing both the bikes is difficult as their performance is very close to each other and this is what makes it hard to judge the winner.

Speed, speed and more speed
The Gladiator rockets much faster than the XCD. The top whack delivered by the 125cc bike is around 120kmph. The reason behind this is the 5 speed gear box attached besides the charming warrior. On the other hand the XCD has the capability to reach 110kmph speed. You might have to drag the bike to reach the three digit mark. This is not the case in the Yamaha Gladiator. The engine is quite rough when it comes to power shifting. You can feel the engine and a thought of giving up might arise too. Red line gear change is seen in the Gladiator and it survives that thrashing very easily.

Balancing act
This is the section where the rider might think on his decision of buying the XCD. The seating position is not that great in the XCD and back aches are regular when it comes to daily commuting. On the other hand, the Gladiator offers comfortable seating arrangement for the rider as well as the pillion. You can easily corner with the Gladiator without a problem. This is not the case with the XCD. It represents a tag name of city bike in loud and italics.

Mileage
In this section the Gladiator is taken back. The reason being it is in super commuter series. The XCD delivers a fuel economy of 60kmpl. The Gladiator returns quite well up to 55kmpl only if you pin the throttle at red line. If you ride the bike well less than 50kmph the bike will deliver more fuel economy.

Time to go to the ATM
If fuel economy is you concern then the best option would be the Bajaj XCD. It has cheap spares and overall good service also. The only thing that is lacking behind is speed. If you need a bike which has stability and speed, the best option is the gladiator. It has overall comfortable handling and performs well in power mode. Maintaining the bike is not a problem either as its spares are priced equal to Bajaj ones. The features offered with the Gladiator are more than the XCD, it also has disc brake option which is not present in the XCD.
