Yamaha Fazer Vs Suzuki GS 150R
Yamaha Fazer Vs Suzuki GS 150R
Both the bikes are best in this class and offer various features which are top notch. One side is the 6speed bike which does 120kmph and has a 150cc engine. On the other side is the Fazer which is a touring master and the best companion for long rides. The competition is on and a pretty close one because of the features and engine size. They have the same power but yet one of them is faster than the other. Is it the 6th gear or the light weighted chassis? The Fazer has less weight and better configuration than the GS150R.

The GS150R has an additional gear which throttles the bike to extreme speed. It has the same 150cc engine which is used in the Fazer but it offers a different type of experience altogether.

Speed, speed and more speed

On a straight tarmac the GS150R will rocket ahead of the Fazer. The additional 6th gear can be engaged when power shifting. This will give the 150R a boost which will throttle it ahead of the Fazer. The Fazer on the other hand has decent pick up and not bad either on straights. Bit slow compared to the GS150R which is quite okay as you would rocket ahead on a turn. Red line gear change on both the bikes is easy and simple. You will gain more speed when engaging in red line gear change. Power shifting boosts the bike in a blast which can be experienced on straight roads.

Balancing act

The Fazer is very comfortable to ride than the GS150R. It has a wide handle bar which is perfect for touring. You can enjoy the look on the road while riding one of these beauties. The Fazer has a wider tire than the GS150R which makes it go fast in a tight corner. You can easily lean on the bike and move ahead. The GS150R does not have wide tires which can grip the ground and provide a good lean angle. The Fazer is lot more comfortable to ride in city and on the highway. Seating position is very comfortable and you can easily avoid back aches on the Fazer. The GS150R is bit uncomfortable when it comes to traveling in heavy traffic.

Mileage

The Fazer delivers an economy of 30-40kmpl. On the other hand the GS150R delivers an average of 55kmpl if ridden in economy mode. This is an added advantage to the GS150R. It might not be good in handling but delivers more economy than the Fazer. The GS150R has less maintenance than the Fazer. The Fazer is undoubtedly more into looks and performance than mileage. The GS150R is a hint of economy and speed. It might be bad in looks but offers superb performance.

Time to go to ATM

In this case you might want to reconsider the fact that both are power bikes and in their own segment. Category is same but power developed and comforts delivered are different. Well if you are lacking in funds then the best option would be the GS150R. The reason being it is cheaper and fuel efficient than the Fazer. If you have green paper which can be spent on machines then the best option is the Fazer. The bike offers features which are not seen in any other 150cc bike. It is very comfortable for long rides, provides excellent support to the back and reaches speed in the three digit mark. The choice depends on money and looks. Both of them are superb when it comes to looks and performance.

“The Fazer delivers an economy of 55 to 60kmpl” - fazer can never give a mileage of 55kmpl, its mileage ranges from 35 to 45kmpl. thats it.

yes,, i prefer suzuki gs150 because of its unique look for its power. looking at its image you cannot imagine that 150cc power. at the first look you may imagine that it only has 125cc power. i like to have one.

Fazer is nice bike because of stunning looks and also it gives 14 nm torque where as 150r only gives 13.4nm………so in every aspects fazer has gone through

Wholesome Crap review. The GS150 is a breeze to handle around corners. It is as good as the Fazer if not better in terms of handling. The GS150 does a top whack of 110 kmph as compared to the Fazer’s 113 kmph. The Fazer is an overloaded FZ and this hampers its performance. The GS150 is a novel design and is equipped with an engine balancer for stability and smooth transmission. The GS150 is a high RPM machine as compared to the Fazer. Also note that the GS150 attains its top speed in the 5th gear itself, the sixth gear is for smooth cruising and hardly adds 1-2 kmph to the top speed attained on 5th gear.

yamaha FAZER is the best option
    when it comes to economy
mine is giving 40km/L in city
and is expected to give around 50km/L (highway).
ride is super smooth, good pick up , LOOKS is the best point in FAZER in its class. No bike in 150cc segment is more stylish then fazer. though suzuki’s is not a bad option
but if u have extra bucks to spend go for yamaha.

    if the budget is 65000/-
you can go for YAMAHA FZ OR FZS.

Above review 100% true. I am the bike lover in chennai. Last 5 years I have tried all the company 150CC bikes in the city as well as long drive. Also i have spent Rs.2,80,000 for this conclusion. Finally I am comfortable with GS150R. I can give 90% of marks to Suzuki GS150R. Remaining 10% is problem with spare parts and service center not available based on our urgency. Otherwise this is awesome bike in India. My suggestion is please go for GS150R both youth and aged people. 100% value for your money and you will love your ride. My second suggestion - There is no doubt its Unicorn.

Fazer beats suzuki gs150 in speed. I have a fazer midnight black.
    I got a top speed 123km/hr with ease. After reaching 95 km/hr
shifting the fifth gear gives power shift. Then the speed of fazer will
reach 138 km/hr its true. But it takes more time to reach this speed.
    In milage suzuki gs150 gives 55 to 60kmpl.fazer gives 45 to 50kmpl.
    Yamaha rocks. Yes YAMAHA. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

suzuki gs150r is the best bike i have driven in my life.. the engine is really smooth and once it touches 40kmph then with little throttle the bike roars like anything… suzuki rocks!! the only prob with suzuki is its service centre.. only very few in india!! the sixth gear has its advantage at 110kmph it sounds smooth and you wont feel the engine being strained!
