The year 2010, off late, has been proving to be a revolutionary one and a boon for the Indian automobile sector with various small cars thronging the potential market and trying taking it in their reins.

First it was Ford Figo, and now seems like it’s the turn of Japanese automobile major Nissan to lure the customers and industry experts with its current offering, the Nissan Micra.The said car is being seen as a new address of comforts for compact car sections. The official announcement of the Indian launch of the car has made a huge impact on the pre-sales as bookings are pouring just like pre-monsoon rains. The car has already made booking of more than 400 orders.

Another factor in its favor is the roping in of the current heart throb of bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor, who is going up the popularity chart with the current hit “Raajneeti” and his virtue is surely going to have a splash of showdown in the open Indian market when the model hits the floor in July, 2010.

The car is expected to be available in the market by July. Our Chennai plant which is producing the model has manufacturing capacity of 2, 00,000 cars per year. We have set the car’s price at an introductory price of 4, 50,000 INR.

The Nissan Micra would lock horns with other small cars in India like Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ford Figo, Hyundai i10 & i20 and this is surely going to help customers to choose from a vibrant range of cars.

The company has decided to cut loose in the ad strategies campaigns, road shows, test drive to give its potential buyers a first hand feel of this new genius on wheels. Nissan is yet to make its presence felt in the Indian market and it’s the Micra, the model, which the company is betting heavily on.

The car has the entire component to make it an instant hit amongst masses with features like body color bumpers, tachometer, and alloy wheels, remote boot, remote fuel fillers, rear wipers, rear defogger, MP3- CD player music system, seating capacity unto 5, and petrol engine type, to boast about a few.

This is indeed, news of rejoicing for the Indian automobile sector which has become a new battle ground for the foreign companies sniffing its huge potential in times to come by. The availability of vivid cars in a particular section of size has also provided the esteemed end users with unending choices and the same is going to be a crackling floor when Micra lures them with their current offering.
