The car based on Polo platform will be rolled out from our future plant (in Chakan) by the first half of 2010. We are planning to have 15 dealers this year and it will go up to 120 by 2011.

I am very excited and keen to see cars international car manufacturers coming and setting up their manufacturing hub in India. On the other hand, i am a bit sceptical whether these car manufacturers are going to say in the long run coz local car manufacturers like Tata cars, Mahindra and Maruti Suzuki are already committed in making luxurious cars for the Indian masses and that too at an affordable price.

I completely agree with you that local car manufacturers are leaving no stones unturned in providing the best when it comes to car but that does not mean that other international car manufacturers would be in the lurch. They must be having equally good strategies in order to have their piece of profit.
