Volvo Introduces 9400 6×2 B9R Bus in India

Volvo Bus India, a fully-owned subsidiary of Sweden’s Volvo Bus Co., has declared a launch of 9400 6×2 B9R luxury bus in Indian market. Multi-axle configuration Volvo B9R arrives in 6×2 configuration, with powerful, 9L rear-mounted engine. With the price tag of Rs. 85 lakh, the bus is being made at the Hoskote, Karnataka.

The 13.7 meter long coach can hold 53 re-clined seats, and with the high level of travel comfort and the fuel efficiency of B9R, the company expects the bus will perform very perfectly on long, intercity roads in country. The high tech Volvo 9400 6×2 B9R features e-controlled suspension, the disc brakes and on-board computer keeping the checks on different vehicle functions.

Volvo always has made its own vehicle chassis in country; however bodies were manufactured by the Jaico Auto. And now, the Volvo’s bus bodies are being manufactured by Volvo Bus Body Technologies India, where Volvo occupied 70 percent and Jaico Auto holds 30%. This has offered Volvo with extra flexibility with respect to production plans and enhancement in a quality and the consistency.

    i loved the b7r’s . i will travel in the b9r i hope. volvo is awesome . i can’t spot the difference between
    volvo b7r and jcbl kinglong kl 6113
    (i am unsure about the model no) .
    both are awesome .

    the travel was great . but jcbl has a upper hand in time display
    (big lcd occupying the front of the cabin at the left ) and audio with impressive
    low frequency .

    these are not available in volvo b7r . hope it is available in b9r .

    why there are 4 pedals in volvo b7r .

    1 accelerator
    2 brake
    3 clutch

    4 ?

    br9 is very beautiful bus
    thanks to volvo because they give us that big opportunity to travel in
