Volkswagen Polo Coming in 2010

Volkswagen AG plans to launch its Polo in the country in 2010. It will be offered in two versions : hatchback & sedan. The hatchback model will launch in the 2010’s first quarter and the sedan model will roll out in next half of 2010. The new Polo will be manufactured at Volkswagen’s Pune plant.

VW spokesperson said that the VW is planning to introduce the Beetle in the country by 2009-end. The company’s Pune plant will start being utilized this year to make the Skoda Fabia which was previously being developed in its Aurangabad. An extra investment of 3,800 cr will be done at its Pune facility, in phases.

    VW Polo would come to in India in both sedan as well as hatchback version. These models were showcased at the 2008 Auto Expo held in New Delhi.

    THE NEW POLO IS COMING IN JAN 2010 IN INDIA .IT WILL COME IN THREE VARIANTS 1.2 PETROL ,1.6 PETROL AND 1.2 DIESEL ENGINE .THE 1.2 PETROL WOULD BE THE ONE WHICH IS USED BY SKODA IN FABIA THE THREE CYLINDER ENGINE BUT THERE ARE SOME CHANGES MADE BY VW TO MAKE MORE POWERFUL AND FUEL EFFICIENT .THE 1.6 WOULD BE THE TSI ENGINE AND 1.2 DIESEL WOULD BE A THREE CYLINDER ENGINE .AS THE PRICE IS CONCERN FOR PEOPLE IT WOULD BE 4-5 LACS FOR 1.2 PETROL ,5-6 LACS FOR DIESEL AND 1.6 TSI.

    PoLo seems to be a good product.Waiting for it’s release.I will be owning it after a couple of months.Hope so !
