Volkswagen Plans to Shift to India for Exports

Volkswagen is looking for suppliers in India which can contribute for the exports of machinery of the parent company. In its mid term perspective Volkswagen plan to shift to India for sending material to various countries. It has already begun with its logistics centre here in Aurangabad.
Production went online back in July 09 which proved to be beneficial to Volkswagen. The plan to make India the hub of exports is due to the production being cheap and effective. India is also geographically attached to other countries and has an excellent trade support.
Jorg Muller President and Managing Director of Volkswagen India stated Indian markets to be stable and precise for making business. Exports have already taken place for Volkswagen as the requirement of the Russian plant was done through India. Investments for the export plant have already begun in the start of this year. Volkswagen is one of the top automobile companies in the world. With the rising trend it has matched the needs of the Indian automotive industry.
