We had been reporting about how the budding Indian car market has become a complete hunting ground for players of different attributes and also how auto companies have started to manufacture their vehicles in India itself, cutting their costs.

Following the same root, there is fresh news that is sure to further strengthen the above said thing to a new level that Volkswagen has decided to manufacture its highly ambitious model, Vento at their Chakan plant near Pune.

Yes folks, the German auto major, in a bid to make its Indian edition stronger, has decided to manufacture its Vento model at the Chakan plant, Pune.

The company has already started building up its Vento, the mid-sized sedan and is said to be the first car to be produced at its Indian plant, given the fact that the latter’s plant started operating only a year back.

India is a strategic long-term growth market for the Volkswagen Group. The start of production of the Vento is more than just the roll-out of a car. Not only does it marks another milestone in our journey together into a successful future for the Volkswagen Group but also reiterates Volkswagen’s commitment to India. In fact, in the last 3 years, the Volkswagen Group has launched a new model in India every two months which reflects our strong belief in the potential of the market here.

The Vento is a true reflection of our motto “Best Hands behind the Best in Class”. It would not have been possible for us to start the production of the Vento in record time without your hard work and support. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to every single employee who has contributed in making the Vento a reality in India and helping us writes another glowing chapter in Volkswagen’s India journey.

Since the company has analyzed the power of brand India, it is sure for them to reap rave responses from their very move in future.
