We had the first sight of the Helmet Rally which was held in Pune. AutoIndiaForum was present from the start to the end of the rally. We have all the coverage that took place while everyone was not wearing a helmet. Yes it’s a bad thing to see on road when there are endless riders without a helmet. A helmet protects the main part of body, it is because of the brain you are able to read this article.

Wearing a helmet on a TVS Scooty is essential as you might be correct on the road but not the other person. We all have misconceptions about the helmet that it develops hair loss, too jerky and heavy for the head, avoids vision and even obstructs the look of a macho man. Well you need to be alive to show off that black hair with looks and that’s not possible if you haven’t got a helmet.The Helmet Rally was the idea of Xbhp and Wheelie Boy. With the help of RSA (Rubber Smokin Angels), Moto Café, Xbhp and Road Shakers the rally was possible. In the rally the main target was to submit leaflets and let the community be aware of the facts of not wearing a helmet. 4 groups were created which were sent in different parts of the city to cover the event. When riding a bike without helmet there are chances of an accident taking place.

The visibility is obstructed as there is heavy wind blowing. The Helmet Rally was the beginning of something big which will yield good results. The start of the rally was done at University Circle where all the groups were gathered. Vijay D Jain aka Wheelie Boy had come down from Mumbai to cover the event.

Xbhp Mumbai was present with their bikes and gears to show what safe riding is all about. XBhp Pune was present in the lime light with RSA. Rohit Paradkar, President of RSA also commented about the rally to be a need in city like Pune. Traffic rate is increasing with rise in number of accidents. Every bike which is manufactured in India has the capacity to reach a speed over 70kmph. Riding the bike at that speed without a helmet is impossible. Protection provided by the helmet is essential as it can save your life in an unexpected mishap.

The Rally covered all the hot spots of the city. From FC Road, Camp, Kalyani Nagar and Koregaon Park everything was covered for the rally. 4 groups were created which were covering all these areas. A final meeting point to The Moto Café took place with celebration of giving a healthy message to the community. Wearing complete riding gear helps in protection of other body parts.

The main aim was to promote use of a basic gear which is the helmet if the complete gear is not available or costly. Buying a ISI mark helmet which cost around Rs 1000 to Rs 2000 will help in saving your life when traveling at high or low speed.
