i heard that sx4 diesel variant with 1.9 liter engine will be launched. Now there is only 1248cc turbo diesel with 90 bhp. is it works? can we get pick up & power like petrol sx4 & skoda diesel models

dont think Maruti is planning the release of SX4 diesel variant anytime soon … they are supposedly planning a updgrade of engines from K-series to M-series.
the link: http://www.autoblogs.in/2009/04/maruti-suzuki-sx4-india-diesel-car.html says that too.
The SX4 diesel available abroad too has it enginies sourced from Peugeot and Fiat.
will have to wait but what other options are there right now … Linea/Verna .. and none seem to have reached customer sentiment entirely

No guys just forget abt waiting for Sx4 Diesel variant…. I’m doing the same from past 9-10 months.. Just every time i think of going for another car, i feel wht if Maruti launch in next 2 months with that variant… So like that i spent just waiting very long (almost a year)… Now finally decided to shift my mind to some other car… Also i wont even bother now much if they come up with the car later after i get another.
People at Maruti Care center also are not revealing much info on that… I personally feel after going through many many blogs that the release might get even postponed to 2011… (Hears funny if i wait more from now)

Maruti Sx4 has stunning looks and solid built quality. The suspension is firm and giving good comfort. Leg room and head room is great. The refined engine is giving me 13 kmpl mileage. With SUV like road stance and huge ground clearance, Sx4 is the best sedan suiting Indian roads

Sx4 is a muscular car with SUV like stance. the high ground clearance makes it the king of roads car. It has got all the features at an affordable price. Mileage is 14 kmpl. What more, go for Sx4!!
