TVS Apache RTR180 Vs Yamaha FZ 16
There is a need of a special referee who can count the tap neatly. The reason being both of them will never ever tap out. These two bikes have different engine capacity but have the same performance. The 180cc is superb on straights and the 150cc is perfect on curves. A superb and dynamic competition of speed and maneuvering is delivered from these two machines.

One looks super cool and has best features, the other handles like butter and has the capacity to outrun its rival on a sharp hairpin bend. The Japanese manufacturer has designed this beauty according to new specifications which is preferred world wide. On the other hand the Indian manufacturer has ensured not to leave a single space for failure.

Speed, speed and more speed
The Apache is fast on straights and delivers a top notch speed of 125kmph. If you power shift the vehicle you will get the above mentioned speeds. The FZ on the other hand is subtle as it delivers a top whack of 120kmph. To reach 120kmph redline gear change needs to be done. The RTR handles superb when it comes to speed. The engine is designed for aggressive riding, you can abuse the engine in any gear pattern. It has race type throttle response which ensures you get every bit of performance at peak level.

Balancing act
This is the section where the Apache goes down. The bike size is too small for a heighten individual. Too cramped for a long distance journey for a heighten person. The FZ on the other hand is very comfortable to ride. The pillion is also in relaxed position which gives super riding experience. Cornering on the FZ is not a problem since it has a wide rear tire which gives superb grip on wet or dry surface. Well if you have roads which have twists and turns the FZ is the best choice which can be selected out of these two bikes. Rider position on the bike is superb too. The rider is in relaxed position all the time. Wide handle bars ensure you have comfortable time when you use the FZ.

Mileage
The Apache and the FZ deliver one and the same mileage. The Fazer is bit heavy and that’s the place where it loses its grace. The FZ delivers and average of 40kmpl. That’s the same average with the Apache. If driven in red line both of them drop back to 30kmpl. Due to the wide tire of the FZ the average delivered by a 150cc is less.

Time to go to the ATM
The reason of this comparison is mainly because of the technology used in both the bikes. They are fast and deliver top notch cornering speeds too. Selection of these bikes depends on look and comfort. Both of them are equally powerful but not at all comfortable according to requirements. If you are a heighten person the FZ is the best option. If you are comfy in a small bike which has good top end the Apache is the best option.

This is most worse kind of comparisons. In one place FZ is being portrait as not rider friendly and here it’s being said just the opposite. If the comparison is to be placed then place it with truth and the real facts not with the vogues things.

    To Amit Kumar Nath
Well the comparison out here is not according to VOGUES Things, these comparisons are based on real facts and updated after hours of testing. The FZ is rider friendly in comparison with TVS Apache RTR 180, but its certainly not rider friendly with the Pulsar 180. The reason being every merits and demerits of the bike change when its rival is changed.

Editor, Please check the comparison between pulsar 180 and FZ 16 and read this one , specially the riders comfortability. And FZ 16 mileage differs 40KMPL in this comparison and 60KMPL while comparing with pulsar 150

All u r bike tests r useless editor i had the three editions of apache 150cc, rtr160fi and rtr180.no 180cc bikes could withstand the power of my rtr180 it had even out ran karizma only pulsar 220 &r15 seemed powerful than mine if u go for mileage apache is not good but if u want power , top speed dont look for mileage rtr180 wil b the right choice fz is just for looks no sharp cuts could be made it has a good grip only bcz of tyres so pls stop comparing rtr180 with fz16.fz16 sucks :-p

Rtr 180 isn’t bad either on corners… I tuk a test drive of both i felt both r gud on corners bcz rtr oso has wide tyres… Even knee kind of cornering is posibl on both, bt fz has low footpegs so they touches the ground easily den apache, apache rocks!

apache 180 might be more powerful but it has the problem of handle vibrations(from personal drive experience) above minor speeds of 80’s
and has 0 grip around corners.fz rocks!!!

Hi abs users, actually i want 2 buy this machine but i have some rumours about it. Now there could b some users who unable to communicate well in english that’s why i m gonna explain d points in our country’s lang.
    1) Height - 5′11 aur sab keh rahe h ki mujhpe suit ni kregi kafi choti lgegi bike aur muje b lgta h.
    2) Reviews me dekha ki vibrations bhut bhut zyada hai.
    3) aur mene rtr k head lights k aas paas dekha, finishing to bilkul nahi thi, kisi me glue thoda nikla hua tha aur plastics me b bilkul finishing ni thi bhut he local lag rha tha, but sirf head light area pe. Jabki yamaha vagera ki to kafi mast finishing thi.
Plz….. rtr abs users help me out to choose my bike
aur muje is bike ki performance bhut pasand hai.
