Toyota Sets Dec 1st to Unveil Etios Sedan

The Indian automobile industry has been going its one of the finest phases as far as the customization and launching of the product is concerned. It has been witness to many launches within a few weeks and more is expected to follow suit.
Continuing its tryst with the same trend, Toyota has recently announced the launch of its Etios Sedan on 1st of December, 2010. Another hatchback would also hit the roads two months after the launch of the sedan.
The hatchback and Sedan were unveiled at the auto expo in a concept form is expected to target the 6-8 lakhs and 3-5 lakhs rupee brackets when they go on for the sale.
While the hatchback is expected to use a 1.2 petrol engine when it ultimately goes on for the sale later next year, the sedan is being believed to use a larger 1.5 liter petrol engine when it finally gets the light of the day on 1st December, 2010. A diesel option could also be added to the models and the as a premium option to the hatchback, 1.5 liter engine option shall be available to the same.
Toyota is expecting to attain the magical figure of 70,000 in the first year and targeting a 10 percent share of the Indian passenger car segment by 2015, respectively.
Toyota has also roped in the two times Oscar winner and music maestro Mr. AR Rahman for the extensive promotion of the model, Etios directed through various marketing and promotional schemes, my making him the brand ambassador for the model.
With such plans intact for the company and current strategies also falling in place the way company wants it to be, Toyota looks to be in a formidable condition to have and also enjoy a significant pie of the Indian automobile’s passenger car segment in the near future.
