The world’s 2nd largest automaker, Toyota has said that they will invest Rs 1400 crore to construct their 2nd plant at Bidadi near Bangalore nearby the existing plant.

They already have their manufacturing plant in Hoser which builds 60,000 units yearly. The plant will be started by 2011.

Toyota Motors Corporation has its JV with Kirlosker in India as TKM (Toyota Kirlosker Motor Private Ltd). They are currently produces Camry and Innova at their plant in Hoser in India. They want to capture 10% of the car market in India by 2010.
