Toyota Launched Innova CNG in India

It was planned by Toyota to launch CNG and LPG version of its famous SUV in India in 2008, finally it launched the car 27th February 2009 in India. It is the original multi purpose and energy efficient vehicle in India. The car is already available with its petrol version in India.

This is yet another step in our efforts to make the environment more inhabitable,” said, Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Mr. Hiroshi Nakagawa.
Innova has been one of the most famous multipurpose vehicles in India and it was introduced in the country in 2005. CNG is used as fuel by the new dual fuel model and provide an environment and economic friendly vehicle. The car is available with a 1998 cc, 16V DOHC VVTi petrol engine and is similar like CNG. The driver can switch between the two fuel options easily with the help of manual switch. The running cost is expected to be near about Rs. 1.6/km and it has the capacity to carry a 12 kg CNG cylinder. That means this new model will save near about 50% running cost than the diesel model.
