Posted on December 1st 2010Welcome back!

Okay folks its that time of the year for what all the auto buffs across the country were waiting with bated breath.
Yes, you have guessed the occasion right. Toyota is all set to launch its highly hyped and hugely anticipated sedan the Etios on 1st December, 2010 all across India.
We had already announced the news exclusively to you one month ago and also about the coming on board of none other than the living music maestro Mr. AR Rahman for the advertisement purposes.
Well, the publicity campaign seems to have paid off for the company as the Indian automobile industry has beefed up to welcome the swashbuckling model from the imminent group of Toyota.
With the official launch of the Toyota Etios, the company is entering the 7 lakh mass volume segment. Toyota Kirloskar is aiming to sell a magical figure of 70,000 units of Etios annually with its new unit in Bidadi and also has expansion plans to slope up the dealership network all over.
The price of the sedan is under 7 lakh and what makes the competition even more interesting is the fact that Toyota has been known for its build quality and also for its after sales service. With a 5-speed manual transmission we at Toyota would be surely thinking about getting an automatic version in place. For the time being its the petrol variant that will make its way to the market and we all await the coming of its 1.4-litre diesel variant and Toyota plans to do just that at the end of 2011
An executive from the company sources was quoted as saying.
All said and done, it would be important to know and report the various types of measures being taken up by Toyota’s competitors to curb the growth curve for the same.
