Tatas to Rollout 1K Nanos from Pune Plant
Posted on September 12th 2008Welcome back!
Tata Motors is decided to make 1K Nanos at their Pune plant. The dealers have to out their components for the Nano on Thursday, which will be transported to Pune within a 1 or 2 days.

Tata Motors, which is keenly watching the developments at Singur, is getting itself ready to rollout Nano in October. If the Singur logjam is not resolved within a fortnight, then they have to make some arrangements to roll out Nano from any of its plants. As of now, this does not look to be a part of the much-speculated Plan B.
Tata Motors had told their 55 odd dealers of the Nano to give components for 1K Nanos by Sept’08 to Pune plant.
After tension increased at Singur, the Tata Motors had issued the technical consents to vendors which will allow them to provide components for Nano car, if the Nano is created at their Pantnagar, Pune and Lucknow plants.
Operation at Vendor Park in a Singur has come to an idle after result on Sunday to end work there till joint board zeros in on the land can be doled out to land losers.
We can only start work at the site if Tata Motors gives us the green signal and if the environment becomes conducive at Singur. Tata Motors has given us a October 1 deadline to be ready with our plant. As of now, we have not got any other communication from Tata Motors. We are hopeful that Singur issue will be resolved at the earliest.

Even before the Nano launch, the cheapest car in India has gained popularity. Everyone is eagerly waiting for the launch of Nano in India. With so much demand for Nano i think Tata Motors should double its production at Pune plant
