Tatas to Produce Nano Only at Singur Unit…

Tatas has cancelled the decision of having multiple Nano assembling units. Tatas spokesperson said: “As of now, the decision is to produce the Nano only at Singur.”
He further added, “Initially, we will make 2.5 lakh Nanos yearly.” Out of 55 ancillary units, around 20 component manufacturing units have already started operations in Singur.
Tata Ryerson MD Sandipan Chakravarty said: “We are setting up a component facility in Uttarachal too, but that is for Ace.” Tata Ryerson is investing Rs 100 crore for setting up a component facility in Singur.Both, Tata Motors and auto component makers invested around Rs 4,000 crore at Singur project and will provide direct employment to 5,000 people.
