Tata to Take Thriftier Nano to Europe in Four Years

Tata Motors plans to sell their ultra-cheap and recently launched Tata Nano car in the European market in 4 years period, the source said.

They are planning to produce a advanced model in 4 years, which will meet the crash std and euro 5 emission regulations.But their main focus was on the reduction in fuel consumption by car to 3 from currently 5 lit per 100 km.According to Tatas, they will develop about 250,000 Nano cars a year. In future, this number would then be increased to around a million units.General Motors’ Opel unit plans to produce a small car model for 8,000 euros, the Head of Opel, Hans Demant said.
