Tata to Roll Out Nano by Durga Puja Even with Cost Overrun

On Saturday, Tata Motors said that their grand Nano project was facing cost overrun but preserved the Rs lakh car could be rolled out from Singur plant by the ‘Durga Puja‘.

Mr. Ravi Kant (MD of Tata) met the West Bengal’s CM Mr. Buddhadev Bhattacharjee and stated that the whole project had been re-worked at a Singur plant site due to floods 2007 which had led to a price rise.

We have already sunk in Rs 2000 crore

- Mr. Kant said

Adding previous the project price was pegged at a Rs 1700 crore.

    Every one is eagerly waiting for Tata Nano’s launch. Looks like the one lakh car will no more carry the same price tag in future. The media has given it a too much hype hope this long wait is worth waiting. But I also read that the launch is postponed.
