Posted on February 17th 2010

Welcome back!

'Tata Plans to Hike PricesOn a rough Tuesday Tata Motors declared to increase the price of commercial vehicles by 2%. The increase in the price is due to the new emission norms being set up by government. All the commercial vehicles which are being sold in the market will have an increased price of 2%.

New technology will be used for creating all the vehicles which are commercial sector. Passenger cars and commercial vehicles will be manufactured according to Bharat Stage IV norms. Norms setting is applicable for only 13 cities in India. The rest of the cities will follow Stage III compliant.

The increase in number of sales had forced Tata to manufacture according to the new norms. As new norms are into place new technology will be used. Installation of new engine standards will help in better emission which means clean air will be the exhausted. Tata is one of the prime manufacturers of commercial vehicles. PM Telang the MD of India Operations refused to comment any more on the topic of increasing sales. Tata is one of the consistent manufactures of automobiles in India.

The growing population here relies on Tata products which are available at affordable price. With the increase in sales there was a considerable rise in the emission levels. There was a need to curb emission levels in the country. Due to this reason Bharat Stage IV was set.
