Tata Motors Sales Up in July 2009!

India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer and 3rd largest passenger car manufacturer Tata Motors has registered its overall sales growth forJuly 2009.
The passenger cars sales up by 32 percent to 19,881 units (Tata: 17,191 + Fiat: 2690) in July 2009 in domestic market as against 15,064 units (Fiat: 412 + Tata: 14,652) in the same period last year.
Tata Cars sales have increased by 21 percent to 14,537 units in July 2009.
The overall sales are :
- Tata Nano - 2,475 units
- Tata Indica - 8,563 units (14 % increase)
- Tata Indigo - 3,499 units (22% lower)
- Sumo & Safari - 2,638 units (flat)
Tata Motors has also started sales & distributions of the JLR range through its outlet in Mumbai. According to the company, response has been cheering in a 1st month with an initial India stock & pipeline import ordered to a big extent.
In commercial vehicles sales, Tata Motors sold 48,054 units in a month of July 2009 (18 pc growth) as compared to the same month in 2008 (40,729 units).
The domestic commercial vehicles sales up by 23 percent i.e. the company has sold 45,599 units as against 37,033 units in July 2008.

The company has not made much profit from Nano as expected but it has surely helped the business of Tata, i guess. How about the sale of Land Rover and Jaguar, why is it not taken into account?
