Here is good news for the lovers of people’s car, the Nano. After facing a continuous downward path for sales after its launch, Tata Nano brings much- needed respite for Tata Motors as reports have just poured in for a 10 percent increase in the figures for the vehicle.

Tata Motors has been continuously under pressure to increase the sales of the car but nothing was going good for them. Ever since the plan for Nano was incepted to the launch, it has not been a smooth ride for the auto major. The fire catching factor of Nano dented its position to fall on the priority of the masses as the target audience did not want their hard-earned money to be consumed by fire at the drop of a hat.

Though, Tata installed a system to check the discrepancy but nothing much improved. With the turn of 2011, luck seems to be with Tata Nano at least as of now since for the first time it has reported an increase of 10 percent in the sales. The same has given Tata a reason to get some respite and its result has been the instant increase of up to 50 percent in the production of the world’s cheapest car.

Nano saw the sale of 5700 units last month and when compared to last month, the number speaks for itself as it registered an increase of 10 percent.

Tata Motors will speed up the production of Tata Nano in order to improve the upcoming demand of the car which is expected to reach 21000 units by March 2011

A beaming Tata Motors company official was quipped as saying on the future prospects of the car.

With passage of time, the company is hoping that Nano would rejuvenate itself from the earlier blemishes and rule the roost for the small car market. Tata Motors has also got further set of actions to be rolled out soon for Nano’s sales improvement as the auto biggie looks destined to leave no stone unturned for it.
