After buying the Ford’s brands - JLR, Tata Motors plans to enter into the competitive Thai pick-up truck market by unveiling the Tata Xenon at the Bangkok International Motor Show.

This is the 2nd largest market in the world as far as pick-up trucks are concerned. The Xenon will be having a one tonne load carrying capacity and a 2.2L engine. The Xenon comes in 2-versions to meet high profile competition from the likes of Toyota, Honda and Isuzu.

Tata Motors (Thailand) Ltd has provided about Rs 130 crore in the plant of Thonburi Automotive Assembly Co (the joint venture) where it holds 70 % stake.
