This is what the venerable Tata Motors was trying to do for so long!

Finally, the Indian car manufacturer have introduced a brand new competitor for the Toyota Innova.

At the grand 2010 Auto Expo, Mr. Ratan Tata unveiled the homegrown premium MPV, the Aria.

Yes, it is an open secret that Tata has consistently been trying to take on market leader Toyota as far as this particular car segment is concerned.Naturally it was necessary for Tata to bring in yet another model fully loaded with advanced features at a killer pricing level.

With the Aria, Tata Motors have merrily managed to keep the entire jigsaw puzzle in place. As regards the styling of this new model, it is going to be an irresistible temptation.

The company has taken every care to make it an all appealing make. This is the reason why Tata Motors has expressed their full confidence that Aria will be hailed by a wide range of audiences. Tata is done with the smiling grille which had been an inevitable part in Tata’s cars right from the Indica model.

The first glimpses of the huge and beefy model of Aria are enough to surpass even Toyota Fortuner, let alone the Toyota Innova.

Thanks to the huge seventeen inch wheels and the disk brakes that the Aria has got such an imposing stance. Not just the regal exteriors but the spacious interiors as well make Aria the best choice for the car lovers. Decently appointed cavernous interiors of the Aria are the major turn on.

Just to give you a rough idea of the loads of features Aria boasts of, air conditioning vents for all three rows, roof mounted gloe boxes, foldable food trays and beige interiors must be mentioned.

The 2.2 liter DICOR diesel unit of the engine enables Aria to ramp on the roads in style. An all wheel drive option, all of six airbags for safety, ABS and the traction control are some of the important features that make Aria better than many others in the race.

At the same time these are the attributes that are likely to make Aria just a bit dearer.Tata has managed to keep the price of Aria between the Toyota Innova and the Fortuner, the New Delhi showroom price being INR 12 lakhs.

This tempting price will definitely make both the Toyota siblings feel the heat. All in all, Tata Aria is posing a threat to Toyota and is ready to ramp on the roads in style.
