Introduction:

The Tata Indigo Marina LX is a top end diesel variant from Tata. The car has been placed cleverly in this segment as it is the only and the first design to really give a proper extended hatchback. This car surely will make the difference as there are not a lot of options in this segment of hatchbacks. The car is a strong built and also consists of a tough diesel engine giving you the adrenaline drive.

Exteriors:

The car exteriors are by no means novel but it is unique. The car exteriors remind me of the big hatchbacks they have in the US which are more of an MUV. On similar lines, Tata’s have developed this design. The car from the front view looks like an Indica and also has this tough but pretty looks. Marina LX has some basic features in the car and give a luxury package overall. The car has good power AC and also the AC vents in the car are rightly placed. The car has nice fabric on seat covers and the seats have headrests too. The car gives you plenty of head room and leg room to sit and enjoy the comfortable ride.

Performance:

Tata Indigo Marina LX is a diesel engine which is a robust engine which gives really great amount of raw power. This car has this 1.4L Turbo charges engine which gives a power of 70 horses. The 70 bhp comes at a maximum of 4500 rpm and the engine drills through a maximum torque of 13.5 Kgm at 2500 rpm. The car reaches good torque and with that great speeds of up to 160 kmph. The turbo when turned on later in the 4th and 5th gear, the car just speeds up at high torques. The car just mellows at high rpm. The car has good enough kerb weight to really increment the momentum and also make this car stable in the fast lane. The car gives you right kind of control. The 5-speed manual transmission and the turbo charged engine just add in to the net velocity of the car. The engine though needs a lot of refinement. The 5-speed gear shift is a little rough. The gear shift should have been smoother. The control at corners is good, but still the pick up that you need while you are at an incline climbing upwards, is missing.

Tata indigo Marina Lx is a classic piece of productivity and power. The car has many uses. Thanks to its design and also the ample space inside. The car make is very strong and this is one main point as to why this car is most favored in the hatchback segment. The exteriors and the interiors really go hand in hand. The interior plastic that has been used also is of a low quality. The car lacks plenty of safety features that should have been provided at this cost. The car is priced at around 5, 70,000 INR (Ex-showroom Delhi). The car has all the things that a multi utility vehicle should have. Excluding the gearshift, the drive is pretty good. But with Tata diesel engine, the maintenance part of it does peek in. The car does have high maintenance cost which is slightly a drawback of the car.
