Tata Has Strategies up Their Sleeves to Combat Competition!

Posted on July 24th 2010

Welcome back!

tata3.jpgWe had reported few days back on how Tata had emerged victorious and outclassed Hyundai to become no 2.

Tata gained the ranking principally because of an increases in the sales of its Nano.

There is no denying the fact that Tata is a pivotal player in the Indian car market and vying to continue the same legacy, they have something up their sleeves exclusively for the budding Indian car market.

We take this space to list out few of them and give a bird’s eye view of the same to our esteemed patrons.

Since Tata’s plant for Nano at Sanand has become fully functional, they are also trying to triple up the production capacity of the plant.

Next course of action from the automobile giant is the anticipated launch of Tata Aria. It’s a sports utility vehicle (SUV) which was earlier expected to hit the showroom by August.

However, we have not received any bite on this piece from the company sources. It’s being speculated that the model would see the light of the day sometime later in the year.

The SUV was first showcased at the Geneva auto show as Tata Xover concept way back in 2005.

Another future activity up on their strategy is the entrance in the pre-owned cars segment and also intends to promote its used car business too under the aegis of Tata Motors Assured Co.

The same line of business is already having tough competition with Chevrolet, Maruti and Mahindra already sitting pretty with their offerings and the same area of operation from Tata will surely be an exciting thing to watch and report on.

The organized pre-owned car segment will continue to grow with the quest of the customers seeking better services. For the month of June 2010, this segment accounted for almost eight per cent of our revenues.

Tata Motors senior vice president Mr. S. Krishnan was quoted as saying.

Sounds Interesting!

We just like you would be curious to know the results of these initiatives taken upon by Tata and report the same over here.
