Rolls-Royce Presents the Dragon Collection exclusively
Posted on August 22nd 2011Welcome back!
Rolls- Royce’s strong presence at the Auto Shanghai 2011 motor show indicated commendably of the importance of China as an important region of its Asia-Pacific operations. On the same hand, China tends to have the largest number of buyers worldwide for this Centenary Cars collection, out of which only just 100 limited versions have been built.
Witnessing the high growth in the demand for its ultra-luxurious saloons in China, this unique cars manufacturer has now decided to create special Rolls-Royce collection which will be unique to the Chinese culture. It is inspired by the legendary and respected creature of the country.
Going by the name, ‘Year of the Dragon’, the design of it is designed at the very home of this brand by its Bespoke team. A dedicated design which is a memorable edition in its true sense has a characteristic of a suite of detailed and unique design. It includes hand-painted twin coachline inspired by the Forbidden city in Beijing, embroidered cushions with the R-R Logo, a carefully hand embroidered Dragon Headrest and illuminated tread plates with ‘Year of the Dragon 2012′ highlighted in LED lighting, are among the other distinctive touches that differentiates it from the typical bespoke models.
Similar to other bespoke models, Rolls-Royce has paid attention to specific areas like choice of veneer for this particular collection, and as a reflection of the bespoke team’s woodshop craftsmanship and awareness about the details, the ‘Year of the Dragon’ Collection will give its customers a choice between modern of traditional marquetry, both of which will completely emphasize the car’s oriental design features and the whole theme.
Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars while speaking on the company’s achievement in creating this commemorative collection, said, “At Rolls-Royce Motor Cars we delight in bringing new, exclusive designs to our customers. The Bespoke team elegantly captures the imagination with this Year of the Dragon Collection, celebrating the turning of a New Year of prosperity and good fortune with this unique creative offering.”
Thomas G. Jefferson, Bespoke Sales Manager, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars while summing up the symbolic importance of the car, said, “This limited edition car embodies the synergy of craftsmanship, creativity and culture in a manner that is uniquely Rolls-Royce.”
The company’s expansion in China is on course and will also increase its presence shortly making it large in a single market outside USA. Watching the tremendous growth and potential that China holds for this brand, it won’t come as a surprise if more such bespoke car models are introduced in China in the near future.
