Rio, an elegant model launched at 2012 Delhi Auto Expo by Premier

At the recently taken place 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, three face lifted variants of the Rio have been launched by Premier. The new Rio looks more elegant as compared to its earlier version with improved bumper, curvy headlamps, spoiler, and integrated grille. Inside this model, the cabin has given lively and airy feel. The Rio will be provided in three engine option and trims. These 3 engine options of Rio are a 1.5 litre turbo diesel engine, which puts out almost 66 PS, a 1-3 litre CRDI Multijet diesel engine, the similar unit, which does duty in both Maruti Suzuki Swift and Fiat Punto models and a 1.2 litre petrol mill, which deliver nearly 78 PS.
Rio’s both turbo and petrol diesel engines deliver a mileage of 15 kmpl and 16 kmpl comparatively. A few standard features included in new Rio are CD/MP3 player, power steering, roof rails, central locking, front power windows, and electrically operated door mirrors. The price of the Rio will begin from Rs. 4.7 lakh for its base model. For its top-of-the-line trim, the price will begin from 6.35 lakh that is even made available with alloys, ABS, and keyless entry.
The new Rio is sourced from Zotye Group that sells nearly 1-lakh units modes every year worldwide. Rio model is totally based on a Daihatsu model. It has been already decided by Premier to develop an effective plan for increasing the sales of Rio by providing people a three-year warranty. It has also been planned by the company to establish nearly fifty dealerships around the country and double the number by the end of the year 2012.
