Reva Plans to Build World’s Largest Electric Car Plant

We know that Reva is the first electric car maker in India. And now the company announced that it will launch the largest electric car production plant of world in India. The new factory will have the production capacity of 30,000 units per annum.
The company has decided to invest around INR 30 cr ($6.1 million). Currently it is located in Bangalore and its new factory will be ready by 2010-2011.
According to the company sources, there is sudden increase in demand for the electric cars, particularly with the western markets as their government selecting more green cars over fossil fuel cars.
Reva Company not only plans to produce the fuel efficient cars but their new plant will also be eco-friendly. It has options for the natural light aeration, rain-water harvesting, solar energy harvesting, CO2 monitor and steel structure technology. In addition, it will also have game, canteen facility for its staff and bus facility (electric) for traveling to-from the company.
