Redefined VW Jetta to Hit Indian Shores
Posted on June 15th 2011Welcome back!

According to latest developments in the Indian auto market, worlds number 1 car producers and German luxury car maker, Volkswagen has been planning for the launch of its much awaited mid-sized luxury car in India, the 2011 Volkswagen Jetta. This midsize sedan from Volkswagen, will hopefully hit the showrooms on 17th of August this year.
With other major car manufacturing companies like Maruti Suzuki India and Ford India already in the process of launching some of the refurbished versions of their existing car models, Volkswagen India is also keen to follow the trend.
The all new 2011 Volkswagen Jetta is hopefully expected to arrive in both petrol engine as well as diesel engine variants. The all new Volkswagen Jetta will come mated with a 2.0L TDI diesel and 1.8L TSI petrol engine under its hood. However, as the petrol prices are always on the cusp of a hike in India, diesel variants of the German car is expected to make a difference, and also seen as tough competition to its own petrol version with respect to sales figures.
According to sales experts, the all new Volkswagen Jetta will be offering a trendier, sportier and wavy appearance as compared to the current model in the market, while the car designers have equipped the interiors with high comfort and elegance, with a new stylized dashboard and modern styling. Resistance rolling for car tires, its trademark Blue Motion, and an all new navigation system are some of the key features that its customers will get in the new car.
It is also worth pointing out that the new Volkswagen Jetta 2011 will be arriving with a DSG gearbox which will be fixed with a six speed automatic transmission or a manual transmission. To add to this, the refurbished 2011 Volkswagen Jetta, will be longer as compared to the current version, which indicated that occupants will get more legroom.
With the new Volkswagen Jetta re-entering the midsize sedan car segment with a retouched look and more features, this car is going to compete with other big players in the segment like Skoda Laura, Toyota Corolla Altis and the Honda Civic. Uptil now the price of the new Volkswagen Jetta has not yet been disclosed by the car maker, but the price tag is expected to be quite competitive.
