For all you auto buffs who are out there lingering for a big news, we have just found the same that may match your taste and variances and quench your auto desire for a while!

Yes, take a bow! The eagerly awaited beauty from the lucrative house of Porsche is finally here & is called Porsche Cayenne in diesel variant!

The car has been launched in India by Precision Cars India Limited who is a partner firm with Porsche and helped them to import the excellence on wheels which is Cayenne.

The entry level car is believed to be housed with a 3.6 liter V6 engine capable of chugging out 300 horse power and mated to an eight speed tiptronic S automatic transmission.

However, when compared to its earlier versions, there seems to be an improvement of 20% fuel efficiency as the car buns about 9.9 liter of fuel per 100 kms.

The Cayenne S is powered by a 4.8 liter V8 configuration which receives a power boost of 15 hp, developing a total of 400 hp. Fuel consumption in this case improved by 23% – 10.5 litres/100 kms

The Cayenne Turbo remains the top -of- the- model range which oozes out 500 hp owing to the 4.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine. The Cayenne Diesel with its 240 bhp 3- liter V6 power plant reduces fuel consumption by 20%, down from 9.3 to 7.4 liter to 100 kms while churning out 550 Nm of torque.

An executive from the Precision cars was quipped as saying.

Amongst other features, there is a sleek sailing mode installed which allows the driver to switch off the combustion engine at a speed up to 156 km/hr.The engine combination makes the Cayenne S Hybrid the cleanest vehicle to emerge out from the automobile house of Porsche releasing only 193 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer, which is phenomenal.

The car also has a top speed of 240 km/hr.It’s good to observe that companies are nowadays, more than making money is also concerned for making the environment healthier they carry out their businesses in.

Kudos to their moves and we hope here at autoindiaforum.com for many such initiatives to be rolled out in the future!

In Asia and and North America we use KILOMETER PER LITER. In the USA MPG.
OK! It makes sense, too. How many kilometers does the car travel per liter!
    Right!

    Please translate the fuel consumption.
(Don’t say fuel economy - because there is no economy in fuel consumption - only consumption!)

    Best motoring regards
