Pune is already booming for pulling new auto-car-marketers every day. It’s like a Detroit of India. And now, it may have the Pininfarina, the Italian Car Designer in its area.

The Pininfarina SpA may start their designs, research work and engineering centre in Pune by the end of 2008. Tata shall have minority stake in this center and also support their stratergic binds with huge capital investment.

This agreement witnesses the great attention Pininfarina is dedicating to an emerging and highly developing market such as the Indian one.

- Mr. Andrea Pininfarina (Chairman and CEO of Pininfarina S.p.A.).

This center will not only spotlight for the Indian market but will too provide for other international automotive makers, what this may denote for LR and Jaguar is not stated.

Previously the Pininfarina and Jaguar did the combined projects which includs the Jaguar XJ Spider (1978) and the Jaguar X-Type Estate (2003), Pininfarina and LR have never effort on a project jointly, yet.

Ratan Tata said that they are planning to get the 2000-Jaugar F type concept into manufacture.
