Phaeton to Make a Second Coming in America
Posted on December 10th 2010Welcome back!

Here is a piece of news all auto buffs would be sinking their teeth into. Yes, once a failed product in US, primarily due to its unaffordable price, is set to rise from its ashes and infuse a new lease of life in the American automobile market.
Phaeton is a luxury car from the imminent auto major, Volkswagen, positioned in the market as their premium cars since its hyped launch in 2002. The car was vitally manufactured to outdo the standards of German prestige market leader, Mercedes Benz and BMW.
Phaeton did live up to the anticipation of others except for America where it botched to win the user’s appreciation. This time around the company has done the research as to reducing flaws that led to its earlier letdown.
Phaeton has bounced back in to the American auto sphere with some facelifts in its obtainable features. The car gets a new front face to illustrate the current Volkswagen style layouts. Other mechanism include fresh running LED lights, bi-xenon headlights and new-fangled bumpers with LED fog lights. The rear LED clusters have been distorted as well to be in synch with others like Touruan, Sharan and Tauareg which were upgraded of late.
It was the cost factor which has failed this go-getting model earlier; thus, the company has also thought of reducing the price to levels which becomes affordable.
We’re not sure what’s changed to make the U.S. market now favorable to the Phaeton. The price is still high, although not excessively. The Phaeton may wear the VW badge, but its as luxurious inside as a Lexus. The original model did win over a core group of buyers who would likely be willing to purchase another one, so at least Volkswagen now has a place to start from.
The various voices from the company were quipped as saying.
Since Phaeton had some admirers, its high price albeit, is sure to hog the limelight and be well time-honored amongst latent users. The original price was $ 65,000 when first introduced but what would be its current tag is what everyone is speculating.
Those waiting for the resurgence of Phaeton in America, may have to wait longer. Volkswagen is leaving no stone unturned to make the car a deafening success when it returns as a next generation car to rule the charts somewhere in 2016.
Till then, one can just imagine about its personality in their fantasy and ride it high to be appeased. For more information on Phaeton, keep checking autoindiaforum.com; your daily dose of info from the world auto horizon!
