Peugeot-Citroen to Explore India to Trigger Sales!

India has become a hot destination for companies of diverse nature to invest in.
Peugeot-Citroen have also recognized the viability of the same & leaving no stone unturned to cash on the engrossing car market, the small car section, to be precise.
A report is doing the round that Peugeot-Citroen is all set to roll out its small cars and sedans for the potentially yielding Indian car market.
The French car maker has announced that it is keen on exploring the developing markets like India, China, Thailand and Brazil with offerings of specific small cars and sedans.
Peugeot-Citroen is thinking of shying away from its dependency of developed market and foray into newer grounds where the possibilities of growth are most.
Peugeot-Citroen has confirmed that it is working on two new models for developing markets, a small car internally called ‘Global Small Car’ and a cost-effective sedan (on the lines of the Renault Logan) dubbed as ‘M3-M4′.
Peugeot-Citroen is looking to launch these vehicles in the developing markets by 2013-14. The company is also looking to manufacture these cost-effective cars either in India, Thailand, China, Japan or the Latin America
A source close to the company was quoted as saying.
The perspective entrant is presently in talks with Tamilnadu government to set up a plant in Chennai and very soon the dream of venturing out its vehicles on the Indian roads will be fulfilled.
