This is 1st time in company’s more than decade presence in Indian market, which is absorbing a full impact of a cost cut, is choosing to the formal cost cut to sale its cars. The Honda Civic (Hybrid) was launched in June 2008 and had created great interest among customers; however its high cost meant sales were few.Honda had just handled to sell 60 units of Civic till date. In compare, the petrol edition of Civic, introduced in Indian market in July’08, sold 5236 cars in 7 months of this financial year.
