Nissan to Launch a Car Based on Micra

Japanese automaker Nissan is ready to launch their hatch back model Nissan Micra to Indian Market.

They are planning to bring at least 8-models by 2012 and to produce their model at Chennai plant.

By 2012, we plan to have eight products in the market, of which a few will be imported. We will also export cars manufactured here in completely built-up form as per current plans.

- Mr. Neeraj Garg (Director, marketing and sales, Nissan Motor India) said.

Nissan Micra is 25-years old car that will be introduced in next 2-year in the compact car segment which accounts for 75 percent of sales in India.

They currently has Taena sedan and X-Trail SUV in Indian market.

    It is really nice to know that there are people who are updated with latest auto news. Nissan makes are doing great world wide and in India the two models Teana and X-trail are of great success. And once Nissan hatches its small car, the sales are really going to go high as small car in India are in great demand.
