Nissan Plans to Launch Next Gen Car ‘March’ by 2010

Nissan Motors has planned to venture into an entry level automatic passenger car market by introducing a next generation car titled “March” by 2010.

The March is considered to compete with other brands in a segment A and the cat would be made from company’s Oragadam plant.
Mr. Shouhei Kimura said that as declared earlier they will have 9 Nissan models by 2012 in India and the March would be one of the latest models.
On the MoU signing with the Ennore Port, from where the Nissan would be exported approximately 110K units by the 2011, Mr. Kimura said that exports would involve this novel model which will be made on company’s new platform.
As Ennore Port approved 140K sqmt of property for exports Nissan would export the March from here as well, Mr. Kimura said.
India is one of the five leading competitive countries to produce and export the new car in Nissan’s global manufacturing network.
He said adding that at first the car will be revealed from the Thailand facility pursued by India.

More and more small cars are entering into the Indian car market. Now even Nissan is all set to launch its hatchback in the country. And many car manufacturers have understood what really the car buyers are looking for in the market and are launching according to that.
