Looks like Nissan is only promoting specific colors. All along I was under the impression that Automobile market is a buyers market.
This may true in the case all other automobile manufacturers in India except Nissan.
Nissan have been accepting booking for Micra since end May 2010 but unable to deliver the cars. In the product catalogue, they have given multiple color options which they are unable to deliver now.
I booked Nissan Micra XV BLUE color on 6 June through their Bangalore dealer. Even today I have NO confirmation from them on the delivery date. Reason given by Hoover Motors(sales wing of Nissam): Blue color is not fast moving color and hence factory cannot commit the delivery date. The delivery priority is only for fast moving color. I hope K Tokuyama, MD, Nissan India is aware of this production issue!
