New Electric Car to Roll Out in India

Bavina Cars India Ltd. (BCIL), the new electric car maker aims to introduce its new electric car in an Indian car market. The company is setting up its production factory in Tamil Nadu. They are planning to launch their electric car by mid of 2011.

Initially, BCI is planning to invest around Rs. 300 cr. The company will roll out around 25K units per annum from 2011.Reva Electric Car Co. is the only maker in India producing Electric cars. With an introduction of its new electric car, BCI will become a new entrant in the country.
Tata Motors is also intends to introduce electric versions of its Indica and Nano in India.

The car looks really interesting. The car could be a good competition for Reva cars, the only other electric car of India. The wait for this electric car is little long though!

This type of car is meant for shopping only in developed countries. It is an added luxury for them. We in India do not require keeping in view of the congested roads. Also these are not potholed road friendly.
