New Cheapest Small Car from EcoCa Ltd. to Beat Tata Nano!

A new small car by London based EcoCa Ltd. is set to challenge the Tata Nano’s price factor. The company plans to launch a 340 cc two-seater petrol small car available at INR 1 lac to claim the label of ‘cheapest car in the world’.

The company is seeking a JV partner the country to sell their car in country market.

We have identified India as a lucrative market to achieve our price target of $2,200 which will also help us earn healthy profit margins.

- Mr. Karman Naghdi (MD, EcoCa Limited) said.Some car manufacturers have shown interest in this small car after observing its performance, mileage and safety features, he added.

The new small car has been made with an investment amount of INR 60 cr and features auto transmission & convertible roof. It weights only 330kg, very less as compared to Tata Nano’s 635 kg. Its fuel efficiency is about 27 to 28 km/l compared to Nano’s 23.6 km/l. The top speed will be 70 km/h, lower than the Nano’s 103 km/h.

    That’s a great idea.Sp.the fuel efficiency is remarkable.Do take care of the road hight/clear hight and rest be asured.The top speed is good enough to coop with city road.

    a car weighing less is good, but is it good for the entrants?(saftey)
    will it be able take two persons and the trunk load?
    y dont they intrduce it as transport vehicle like a mini taxi, will they too shy away?
