’Aria‘ would be the name for the latest car manufactured by the TATA group. As the car made its debut at the auto expo at Delhi earlier in 2009, many fans of the Indian car maker are keen to know as to when its new baby is going to hit the road. Back in 2005, this car was also showcased by Tata Motors in the Geneva Motor Show. But the news is that Tata Motors are going to launch Aria anytime between July and September, 2010.
Well, Aria would be loaded with accessories and one may expect features like climate control, ESP and dual airbags both in front and back seats, all this in their production model itself. I guess, it is a very good news for people eyeing to buy it once it gets in showrooms. As the car is going to be exported offshore in Europe mainly, customers can expect similar features to the ones mentioned above in its Indian model too.
Engine would be as powerful as other Tata SUVs, like the ongoing Safari and the Sumo Grande; the 2.2L DICOR Engine. Although having said this, test rides of the vehicle seen in and around Pune, tell a different story about the firing of the engine. Its said to be much smoother, less noisy, because of which the price tag of the Aria is bit more than other Tata SUVs. With finer engine quality and other loaded accessories the Aria would be in a higher segment. The car is said to be a four-wheel drive/ all wheel-drive (AWD) system to give the advantage to the riders on any terrain.
As always, Tata Motors has come again with a whole new and refined product much speaking about the various sections that the Tata group wants to step in and conquer. For this SUV, buyers need to slim their pockets down by around 12 to 15
Lacs. The quality standards that Tata Group sets itself not only in cars but also in other fields, suggesting that this car surely would get accepted by people. As it hits the road around June-September, the car surely will experience a positive feedback, is what everyone is expecting. Let us keep our fingers crossed and hope that Aria would live up to the expectations that are already getting bigger.
