Motor Racing from VW in India

After Formula 1 from the Kingfisher, one more good news for motor sport enthusiasts! VW Polo club brings a motor sports to India by early 2010.
We are working on being able to have motor sport in India with Volkswagen from 2010, and have the programme in place by the end of 2009.
- Mr. Kris Nissen (Director, VW Motorsport) said.
VW will start with the Polo Cup in country and also be engaged in a Formula series for the young drivers.
Volkswagen is set to introduce its latest model Volkswagen Polo in country next year. VW Polo Club will be there under their marketing policies that will allow young enthusiast and capable youth to get ready for an international motor sports. The company will adapt a working system in the Europe to be applied for a working system for the racing in India.
Implementing racing utilizing its products is one of the worldwide marketing strategies from Volkswagen. It initiated the China series of Polo Club few years ago and the Jetta TDI cup in US in May 2008. The company also signed a 19-year old Ashwin Sunder (Chennai) to teach and prepare him for racing in the European circuits.

Force India Formula One of Vijay Malya’s Motor racing team is doing wonders in the Indian car market. This is a good way to make a remarkable place for Volkswagen India.
