M&M to Introduce Co-Branded Two-wheelers in January-End
Posted on January 14th 2009Welcome back!
Mahindra & Mahindra will start two-wheeler business market with upgrades of its Kinetic’s existing gearless scooters, Nova & Flyte. The upgraded models will be offered in showrooms by end of January 2009.
Mahindra Kinetic will be the co-brand name for both scooters. No change in its pricing. Currently, Nova (135cc) and Flyte (125cc) priced at Rs. 41,000 at ex-showroom in Delhi.
Mahindra has al-ready begun production of these co-branded two wheelers at its Pithampur plant near Indore and will start dispatching them to dealers soon.
- The Kinetic dealer said.
When contacted, Mr. Anoop Mathur (President, two-wheeler div, M&M) declined to speech on the matter saying related information will be disclosed at a right time. The company had stopped sending off these gearless scooters few months ago and all dealers are waiting for the upgraded models of Nova & Flyte.
All dealers had been taken by M&M for a visit of its Pithampur factory earlier this week. The company is very serious about staring on a two-wheeler business with its models both in an entry level mass market and in performance and lifestyle segment.
