Mitsubishi Motors the Japanese car makers have launched their much talked about sports utility vehicle (SUV). The company already planned to launch a new variant since long time and so the new 2010 version of the car is finally out into the market. This SUV would prove to be a boon for Mitsubishi in India and special attention is given to the handling part of it as well according to Indian roads.

The new Mitsubishi Montero is really a sturdy machine bursting with loads of power and really will make you feel good when you drive it. Its off-road handling is simple fabulous and that is one major reason as to why this car has been introduced into the Indian market. The company believes this car might well be Mitsubishi’s answer to the likes of the Safaris, Fortuners, Captiva and other big SUVs. The Mitsubishi Montero is said to have a 3.2L diesel engine, but has been finely tuned and refined to give an improved and more powerful output of 144.9 bhp. While it’s earlier model managed to generate only a meager 119 bhp. New Montero will have a better torque also as well as this new re-tuned engine will now offer a good 45 kgm at 2000 rpm. The car offers great maneuverability and is a dependable SUV, which can be really comfortable for seven passengers.

The new model of the Montero is BS IV compliant and this new body is incorporated with a 5-speed automatic transmission option too. There are many new additions in the car which comprise catalytic converter and swirl control bulb. There have been some minor changes on the exteriors, which include re-designed bumpers for the rear as well as the front body. Interiors also have been given a new fresher look which comprises of leather-wrapped steering wheel, good quality plastic, air conditioning vents, 12-volt accessory outlets, passenger assist grips and cruise control.

All these features have been an integral part of the international model of Montero and that all of them have been incorporated for this model which has been launched here in India as well.
