Mitsubishi, Japanese Automobile Company is planning to revamp their business in India by launching a new edition- Lancer Evolution X.

It is a 10th edition of Lancer Sedan. It may arrive in India early next year. They are also planning to launch their outlander SUV. This SUV would be developed at Chennai.
We are planning to bring Evo 10 to India through the completely built route. This may push the cars’ end cost but the company has no plans to locally build the car yet. The response for the car will decide whether it can be manufactured here or not.

The Evo X undoubtdely is an amazing package on paper & i’m sure it will deliver on the road as well. There are enough people who would want to buy it as well. Only thing that would hamper the sales figures of the company would be the price (21.7-23.5 Lakhs) of the car. Honestly, its too steap a price for the car. I can assure you that there are enough sports car enthusiast in India but, very few who can afford it at this price. I myself am looking for a good sports car, This couldn’t fit in more perfectly. Since the company has the facilites to built it in India and can bring down the cost to 12-13 lakhs, they should take that all important step to make it here and sell it at an affordable price & thereby not lose out on the target market.I shall give you an example of Skoda AUTO. - they launched the Skoda RS - a 150 BHP turbo charged “Raging BULL” but dint succeed because of the pricing ! IF MITSUBHISHI MOTORS is listening, this propostiton to reduce the price of the car is in favour of both the parties i.e. a WIN-WIN situation - increasing the companies sales volumes by attractively pricing it at 12-14 lakhs & eventually tapping a larger market & making the customers happy as well. Although if they do decide to launch the EVO X at 21-23 lakhs, the customers will not be able to afford it & will only be left wanting for such a beautiful piece of performance oriented machinery. Eventually it will walk the same isle like the legendary Skoda RS did,Model got discountinued due to dull sales & would die an unsung hero’s death. I AM a SPORTS CAR ethusiast (FREAK)… it brings a smile on my face when the thought come across that a car with a 2-litre engine, churning out 295 BHP is coming to INDIA & its the LANCER EVO X. Just hope the company can do themselves & us good by making it a win-win situation.
Thanks

People need more information before they write these articles. No offence, but seeing the amount of articles being written, i know for a fact that a very few of these people have the idea of what an evo is. These are 2.0L engines that are Turbocharged. The reason these cars are able to produce such high numbers are because of the forced induction (turbo) that has been used. Note, the radiator looking thing in the front grill is not a radiator nor does it have water in it. It is called an intercooler and its sole purpose is to deliver colder air into the Intake manifold to the engine… long story short, only if people knew what these cars are would definately put the cash down!

well yeah VISHAL u are right wen u said that this turbo charged beast will die in that price bracket. i know a lot of people who love cars but arent aware of what this briliant machine can do. For them its just a new lancer. Still i have always admired the gem inside it how ever i know at the same time it will be outta my reach at that price range. i really think that HM should get it as a knocked down kit. otherwise india will not see these road going rally machines. HM can just make ambasadors, but in case of performance mitsu should act in the right manner. MAKE THIS CAR HERE IN INDIA. its a civic eater for sure..

and yeah NFS is working on the next gen buyers for MR FQ’s.. Jatin i thought that evo 8 was the epitome of perforance but wid the evo x mitsu have done it again. If u see the history of this car, it has really come up from a galant vx4 to evo x, i assume there would be something bigger that this in the future… being in india we will surly get the news. getting the an actual car is a far fetched dream..
cheers

this car’s gonna rock indian streets …………………. the only point which is most disturbing is the price every one wants to buy the car like mitsubishi evo X but higher price can be a greatest problem …………………………… if the price can be a bit less like 9 lakhs or 10 lakhs the car will be a big hit on the INDIAN streets & also a best selling car …………Or even the company can make 2 EVOs one with less price and other the original one ..plz respond to this I need to buy this car greatly
