The Car The leading Japanese car manufacturer Mitsubishi Motors has seen three decades of evolution and secures an important place in the global auto market with splendid vehicles ramping in style on the city roads as well as scorching the race courses alike. Mitsubishi brought one of its most popular mid segment sedan model Mitsubishi Lancer to the Indian market. The launch was a joint venture of the company with the leading Indian auto maker Hindustan Motors. Lancer is an amazing sedan model which is fully loaded with an array of advanced features. The killing exteriors of the make have always hit the headlines since its launch. Lancer is indeed a stylish car which comes with amazing styling features. The car engineers have put in relentless efforts in making Lancer a sheer beauty blended with amazing performance. There are two of Mitsubishi Lancer variants available in the Indian market - one with petrol engine and the other a diesel one. Lancer 1.5 L Petrol LX is a petrol variant equipped with a 1.5 L 87bhp 4 cyl. In-line MPI petrol engine which brings in an excellent performance. Mitsubishi launched Lancer to lock horns with the arch rivals like Maruti SX4, Honda City and Fiat Linea but still hasn’t been able to win the race; say the stats. Lancer 1.5 L Petrol LX is the petrol variant of Mitsubishi Lancer which comes with amazing features like Power windows, Tachometer, Power Steering, AC, Rear Defogger, Adjustable Seats and many more standard features. It won’t be impertinent to mention a few prominent exterior, interior and performance features of Lancer 1.5 L Petrol LX. So here we go. Exteriors Mitsubishi Lancer is stylish to a fault. It’s a premium sedan model that sports stylish and bold exterior features through and through. Smartly carved headlamps are pretty large and make the car look sporty and trendy. The car is available in four beautiful color shades like Scotia White, Black Magic, Warm Silver and Sea Forest Green. If you ask me my preference, I would definitely go for Black Magic. It looks just awesome. Here are a few most prominent exterior features of the make.
Interiors The interiors of Lancer 1.5 L Petrol LX have a smart touch of refinement and elegance indeed. You will agree when you see the quieter and comfortable cabin which has been designed in a far better way than in many of the other cars in the race. I was glad to see the premium fabric upholstery, retractable assist grip mirrors and back lit meters inside which indeed steal the thunder. Among the other important interior features of the car which make the drive a divine pleasure, we have the air conditioner, heater, tachometer, electronic multi trip meter and the roomy glove compartment. Moreover, you also see the digital clock, cigarette lighter and the digital odometer inside which add to the beauty as well utility of the interiors of the make. Comfort and Convenience Features Lancer 1.5 L Petrol LX sports amazing comfort and convenience features. To mention a few prominent ones we have:
Safety Features Driving Lancer is pleasure indeed and the car engineers have also introduced loads of safety features in the design of Lancer. You have the central locking system, power door locks, child safety locks, anti theft alarm, passenger side rear view mirror, day and night rear view mirror, halogen headlamps, three point ELS seat belts, seat belt warning, door ajar warning, side and front impact beams and a lot more.  Performance Lancer 1.5 L petrol LX is equipped with a 1.5L 87bhp 4 cyl. In-line MPI petrol engine along with the five speed manual transmission gearbox which brings in an amazing performance and assures excellent fuel efficiency. The car engine can churn out the maximum power of 87 PS @ 5,500 rpm and the maximum torque of 13.5 kgm @ 3,300 rpm. The car gives around 10 kmpl on the urban roads while on the highways it offers a decent average of 13 kmpl. This is a four door sedan which can accommodate five passengers easily. Overview All in all, the car is a fine combination of elegance, grace, beauty, comfort and performance. The exteriors of the make steal the show at the outset and the interiors do nothing but complement the elegance of the exteriors. The Mitsubishi seems to be determined to improve the sales in the premium sedan segment with the launch of Lancer. The car engine delivers some decent stats which make the car a good deal. However, I think the looks of the car should have been more refined. The present looks seem a bit outdated. The New Delhi Ex Showroom price of Lancer 1.5 L Petrol Lx is Rs. 7,33,000 which is quite competitive as compared to the other cars offering same features. Taking into consideration all the pros and the cons of the make I would say Lancer is a good choice when it comes to buying a luxury family car equipped with all the regal features.
