Mercedes Records 80% Sales Growth

Mercedes-Benz India, the luxury car maker has recently declared that the company recorded a whopping 80 percent growth in sales in the last concluded year with December being the star performing month.
Wow! It’s great news, auto buffs, right? According to company sources, the auto major has sold a magnificent 55 thousand plus cars which is a direct rise of 80% when compared to around 2500-3000 units in 2009.
Mercedes Benz has been a significant luxury car maker in India along with Audi and BMW. Mercedes has attributed the superb sales for its model, E-class of which 2490 models were sold while the C-class sold more than 2700 units. R-class, GL-class and M-class were other models that also contributed to this gigantic sales figure.
As per the inside company sources, Mercedes-Benz is dedicated to roll out only those products that are always a win-win proposition in the enchanting Indian automobile market. The company has slew of models to choose from and its looking to further announce products that are India centric and at the same time efforts are on to ensure the main mark of the company; the luxury is retained in all the products at all costs.
The company is also being believed to invest a huge sum of 700 crores for the cars paint shop which is being planned out after the deal with Synfera was sealed recently. Also the Indian wing of this German auto biggie has extensive plans to set up a bus body production at its Chakan plant near Pune as the plant has the capacity to store more than 700-900 models.
With such novel prospects at its ends and many more to be phased out soon, Mercedes-Benz is sitting pretty in the Indian automobile market as the leading luxury car manufacturer. It would be interesting to note and report the corrective measures being resorted to by players in the same league of business. We are keeping our fingers crossed!
