Mercedes Benz to Set Up Financing Arm in India
Posted on December 8th 2008Welcome back!
Mercedes-Benz, the German Luxury car manufacturer is planning to set up a financing division in the country to boost its vehicle sales.
The company gives financing, insurance, leasing, and fleet management as a part of its financial offerings.
The financial crisis is finite and the markets will bounce back. We are committed to our investments in the country because we have gone through a similar period in the past. At this point, we are still evaluating the option of launching our vehicle finance services.
- Mr. Wilfried Aulbur (CEO & MD, Mercedes Benz) said.
Mercedes-Benz already has exceeded its sales objective for this year due to strong demand in September. The company has sold almost 3280 cars and 220 trucks this year. As there has been considerable decline in a demand since an October, the industry thinks that the financing arm from it will assist customers to buy its vehicles. Their financing facility is already offered in almost 40 countries globally.
