Mercedes-Benz Races on Indian Roads

mercedes-logo.jpgManufacturer of luxury and high-performance automobiles, Mercedes-Benz India Private Ltd is sure that sales will hit an all-time record in India this year.

They already have sold more than 50% of their 2007 sales during the initial 4 months of 2008.

Between January-April 2008 we have sold 1,330 units - both locally made and imported - against 2,491 units sold in all of 2007 and Our current year’s target is to sell 3,000 cars.

- Mr. Wilfried Aulbur (Managing Director of company) said.

Size of sales up during the 2008 year is credited to the newest C-class model, of which they sold 681 units against 779 units sold in the year 2007.

In 2007, they sold E-Class -1104 units, S-Class – 411 units, C-Class - 779, CBU – 197, total – 2,491 units, rise of 18% over 2006.

Mr. Albur said that there was increasing trend of young entrepreneurs, software experts and booming businessmen preferring for Mercedes Benz.

We have come up with attractive finance schemes for them so that they can afford to drive home a Mercedes-Benz.

- He added.

With order for luxury cars set to pick up, they plans to set up a new 5000 units/annum plant in Chakan near Pune, Maharashtra. The capacity of their existing plant at Chikhali, near Pune is 4000 units.

    The demand for luxury cars are increasing in India and so are the luxury models. Mercedes Benz has recorded great sales.
