Mercedes Benz Has Policies to Get the Very Well of Competitors!
Posted on August 2nd 2010Welcome back!
Last time around when Mercedes took the Indian car market for granted, it could not be at their discretion to feel the same and ended up scratching and exposing all their loopholes.
However, the company is set to make a new coming in a more distinguished manner and this time, the company is all set to take its arch rivals for a ride.
To provide a peep to the concept, Mercedes had lost out to other competitors in the same foray of business of luxurious cars like BMW & Audi.
But with their set of actions positioned specially for India, the company is all set to remain intact at their current numero uno position.
This starts with the launch of a slew of cars for Indian market and also plans for its opening of its plant and to forget the setting up of financial agency, which will market its used car section.
We have mapped various segments and will be launching new models in the vacant slots. The company will be launching a luxury sports (SUV) and models under performance segment. In the last seven months we have launched 16 products
The luxury car market will continue to outperform the overall car market sales this year as well. The segment is expected to log around 50 percent growth this year while the standard car segment is likely to log around 20 percent growth
Debashish Mitra, Director, Marketing and sales division was quoted as saying.
Another action looming large on the menu of concerns for the company is their plan to change their distribution partners in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Punjab to make the end-user happy with the supply of higher end cars.
It would be important to see what BMW and Audi has in store to beat the plans from Mercedes!
Indian market has become such an important hamburger that everyone is dying to have the biggest possible bites.
